Life in this Universe

The most intriguing question in this Universe is " What is life?". Well let me try my hand on this. It is a series of bio chemical reactions that happen in tandom with one another in order to keep an organism going. It could be plants or animals we can call each of them as organism here.
So Every chemical change is responsible for the process of life to exist. Then what is the soul?
It is the internal energy of the system, which keeps the minimal of all chemical processes going when the main control system fails, I mean the brain goes into coma. Once this internal energy is exhausted by the system then the system is no longer capable of bringing about the necessary chemical changes and hence the organism is dead.
Here the most common property is that there is a moderate or minimum or critical value of the composition of these chemicals. Once it is either less than or more than the critical limit then we see a difference in response from these chemicals. thought is also such a chemical change that is hapenning in the system. Since plants do not have a central control system like brain it follows a different approach to handle the chemical changes.
In animals the brain co ordinates these changes. I would'nt say it controls as the function of the brain depends on some of the things hapenning outside the brain.
So every feeling, action and the process of life itself is just a chemical change, influenced mainly by the nature in which the organism is present.
So life becomes precious as it is difficult to many chemical changes to come together and try to understand some other chemical change hapenning.
But these chemicals are working so much in tandom with one another that the series of thought allows other chemical reactions to triger the other series of reactions and hence forth make the whole process appear complex. Hence the Bhagavadgeetha mentions that it is futile to try and understand the univers as it is like a molecule fo water trying to understand the ocean.
